THE FIRM
We are partnering with a leading Australian law firm who are on the lookout for an Catering Coordiantor to join them on a permanent, full time basis. This firm are recognised for their warm, welcoming, and inclusive practice that have won industry awards for their gender equality and diversity.
 
THE ROLE
A well regarded law firm is seeking a Catering Coordinator to join their Melbourne office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is part of the broader Office Services team, which also includes Front of House, Mailroom, and Switchboard.
 
As Catering Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality catering for meetings, events, and corporate functions. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will ensure seamless hospitality for both clients and employees.
 
This role operates on a rotating weekly shift schedule: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm and 7.30 am – 4.00 pm.
 

• Coordinate all aspects of catering for meetings and corporate events
• Assist with tea, coffee, and refreshments for client and internal meetings
• Manage catering requests via inbox, liaising with internal teams to book and order food
• Set up, serve, and oversee catering for in-house and off-site functions
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain, clean, and restock kitchen and breakout areas, ordering supplies as needed
• Organise external catering services, including hiring and supervising waitstaff and chefs
• Work with internal stakeholders to finalise event menus
• Process supplier invoices and review costs for quality and value
• Provide reception and switchboard support when required

ABOUT YOU
To be successful for this opportunity, you will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting. In addition to this you will have:

• A hospitality qualification or Level 1 Food & Safety Handler certification
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Exceptional customer service with the ability to engage at all levels
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for hospitality
