The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Float Legal Assistant to join the Sydney office, supporting both transactional and litigation-based teams. This full-time position is ideal for someone seeking variety and the chance to develop their skills across multiple practice areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answering phone calls and assisting with client inquiries.
- Managing diaries and coordinating schedules.
- Dictaphone typing and document preparation.
- Assisting with billing and financial processes.
- File management and archiving.
- Coordinating team meetings and events.
- Providing general administrative support as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, with exposure to both litigation and transactional practices being highly regarded.
- Availability to work full-time (part-time arrangements will not be considered).
- Proficiency in MS Word and document formatting.
- Excellent communication and diary management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A client-focused mindset and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
