The Role
This is a Part time 24 hours per week Accounts payable opportunity reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth continuation of the payables process and liaising with interstate counterparts to ensure payment deadlines are met. My client is looking for someone who is looking to take on the Accounts Payable function to cover for Maternity Leave
The role will involve high level customer service and business partnering with various internal stakeholders. In this role you will be responsible but not limited to:

• Process and verify accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payments and transactions.
• Prepare and process electronic payments, including WIP payments.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment-related queries.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support during audits.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

About you

• Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Experience using a large ERP accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
