Payroll Specialist

We’re seeking a  Payroll Specialist  to join the team on a temporary basis until  30/06/25, with a view to start  ASAP. This role is  35 hours per week  and offers flexible arrangements, including  2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual Payroll Processes: This is a highly  manual payroll environment, requiring meticulous attention to detail across tasks like processing payroll changes, managing salary increases, rate adjustments, and overtime calculations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Use your excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Building and maintaining the  payroll brand  across the commission is a core focus.
• Payroll Inbox Management: Oversee the  manual flow of payroll changes, ensuring these are accurately captured and processed through to payroll transactions.
• Superannuation and Salary Sacrificing: Handle the  manual setup and adjustments  for these processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Complex Timesheeting: Tackle  manual timesheet processing  with confidence, ensuring accurate data entry and reconciliation.

• Extensive experience in a  manual payroll environment, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and process payroll changes in a high-volume,  labor-intensive environment.
• Familiarity with  Meridian  is advantageous but not essential.
• A proactive approach to process improvement, with the ability to thrive in a role where automation is limited.
