Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis to help manage the financial operations during a period of transition. 

The Role

• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for accuracy
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits
• Manage the preparation of tax filings and support year-end reporting processes
• Work closely with senior management to analyse financial data and provide strategic insights
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and accounting systems
• Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as required

About You

• CA or CPA qualified 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in financial software (TechnologyOne preferred) 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
