What's up dog?

Franklin has been the best doggo to enter my life. Growing up I always wanted a dog and was never able to get one. Throughout my life I have struggled with chronic depression, anxiety and self harm. When we got Franklin my mood has significantly improved and so has has my self-harm. Whenever I need a cuddle hes there. Whenever I am crying or struggling hes there giving kisses and cuddles. Whenever I want to self- harm hes there distracting me, making me laugh doing funny things like howling with the emergency sirens or doing zoomies everywhere. Hes honestly the reason I am so much happier and look forward to everyday. Hes the best best friend I could ask for, he is my life and I owe him that.

Every dog that enters is eligible for the 2024 People's Choice Award. The winner of the 2024 NZ People's Choice will be decided by you, the people!


This year, we wanted to give the aroha back to our communities.


Every year, our campaign is supported and celebrated by a variety of incredible charities across Aotearoa, all of whom mahi tirelessly to make a positive impact for dogs in their respected communities.


This year, the winner of the 2024 People Choice's Award will have the value of their doggy prize pack matched and donated to a charity of their choosing.


In addition, every voter will have the opportunity to donate towards one of the 3 incredbile mental health charities or dog organisations.
