What's up dog?

We found each other when we were both in need. I have battled a lot with my mental health over the last 9 years and the last 4 years have been extra rough and have only seemed to get worse each year. My mental health was continuing to decline when I heard about Hunter. Hunter's owner had passed away, then he got surrendered to my work by the owners younger sister who had become homeless and couldn't take care of Hunter. I became Hunter's foster mum and quickly fell in love with him. It became clear that I didn't want to let him go and we both needed each other which led to me adopting him. Hunter was 6 months at the time and is now 8 months old and loving life. Hunter has brought me joy in times when I didnt think joy was possible and has made me laugh through endless lows. He has shown me comfort, love and affection. His dramatic vocal yawns and his growl when he plays with his toys brings a smile to my face.

Hunter comes with me to work at a rescue farm where we do animal assisted therapy with kids and teens. Hunter interacts with our clients, he gets them engaged and brings them out of their shell and has even won over the clients who arent so interested in animals. He brings laughter to the room and helps take the edge off when clients are new and anxious about starting their sessions with us. Hunter also showers the workers with love and affection.

Hunter is truly a special boy with so much character
