What's up dog?

Dougie has the most infectious personality and makes people smile everywhere he goes.Because of his unique look, he often gets stopped for pats and cuddles making people happy without even trying.Dougie loves his treats and supporting local businesses by tasting, using and buying NZ made products! He enjoys posing for a good photo because said treats are usually involved in the process! When Dougie is older and a little calmer we want him to learn to be a companion dog so he can do more good in our West Auckland community! Until then, he is becoming known on Instagram for his cheeky antics and funny character traits… and his hairstyles which are unruly and have a mind of their own! He has a big heart and is a floofy ball of aroha!!

Every dog that enters is eligible for the 2024 People's Choice Award. The winner of the 2024 NZ People's Choice will be decided by you, the people!


This year, we wanted to give the aroha back to our communities.


Every year, our campaign is supported and celebrated by a variety of incredible charities across Aotearoa, all of whom mahi tirelessly to make a positive impact for dogs in their respected communities.


This year, the winner of the 2024 People Choice's Award will have the value of their doggy prize pack matched and donated to a charity of their choosing.


In addition, every voter will have the opportunity to donate towards one of the 3 incredbile mental health charities or dog organisations.
