Meet Griffin

People's Choice Finalist

Meet Griffin

Breed: Golden Retriever

Barking from: Blenheim

What's up dog?

A big grin, a waggy tail, and party paws greet the team every morning when they arrive in the office.

Golden Retriever Griffin is a vital part of the Top South Media team; when he’s not welcoming members of the public and taking coffee orders (we know he would if he had opposable thumbs), he is spreading joy and lowering stress levels.

At 5-years-old this handsome boy has an old soul, touching the hearts of everyone he meets. He always looks smart and when it comes to office attire his dapper collection of neck scarves means he has the perfect look for any occasion.

His grooming is always meticulous, rarely is there a hair out of place.A bit of a fashionista, Griffin is an accomplished model and happily styles the occasional hat to support community initiatives we highlight across our newspaper, App and social media pages.

Griffin has joined in Pink Shirt, Day, Pride Month and even a hen’s do, happily donning a pink cowboy hat and smiling in every photo. He is the ultimate brand ambassador.

He attends all team meetings, making valuable contributions to both the editorial and advertising teams and even taste tests the occasional biscuit for us too, just to make sure the food is safe to eat of course.

Griffin has his own fan-base now, with readers regularly calling in to see our roving reporter/receptionist. He happily meets his fans and accepts pats and praise in equal measures.

This goodest of good boys is truly an asset to our office. Highly trained and with a heart of gold, work just wouldn’t be the same without him.
