Meet Wilson

Top Office Dog Finalist

Meet Wilson

Breed:  Pug

Barking from:  Auckland

What's up dog?

Wilson’s grey hairs are coming through, it has been that long! He has been the official security guard for our organisation for 7 years, and what a good job he has done! A tough guy with a soft exterior, no one gets in or out of the building without Wilson’s thorough inspection. This trim little pug brightens the day of all the clients who come through the door. While he likes to make sure they know who’s boss, he also won’t say no to a cuddle, (and it’s best to offer him one asap, or he will demand it!).

When he is not making us all well aware of the comings and goings, the team delight in the little tap tap tap of his perfectly trimmed nails on the timber floors, making his way around the room, vacuuming the crumbs around the staff’s feet at lunch time. After his belly is full he likes to soothe us with the soft sounds of snoring while sitting in the lap of the lucky few that he favours. If his pure existence isn’t enough, the thing he does that tugs at our heartstrings the most is when he sits at the top of the stairs and waits for his owner to come back from his off-site meetings. It is only an hour long wait while his master is out, but the look on Wilson’s face would imply it was an eternity!

Our little pug can’t help but give warm fuzzy’s to each and every person who encounters him. He is truly our office dog of the year, every year!
