Most Valuable Contractor: 2024 Quarter 1 Awards Ceremony
Kirsty Henegan Henegan: Hello and welcome to our special edition of Frogs on Friday as we present our first quarter's Most Valuable Contractor Awards. I'm Kirsty Henegan and I'm the team leader of the Temp and Contractor team. Today we are taking over, well the Temp team are going to take over, just so that we can announce our three finalists for our MVCs for quarter one of 2024. The MVC was established to honour and celebrate the exceptional contributions of our temporary and contract workforce who go above and beyond in their roles. The MVC award aims to shine a spotlight on those individuals who consistently demonstrate outstanding performance, reliability, and who truly exemplify what it means to be an invaluable member of our workforce. The criteria for this award looks at how individuals go above and beyond in three areas: attitude, reliability, and communication. So let's get into it and let's have a look at our first finalists.
Scott: Hi, I'm Scott and I run the supply chain and logistics desk here at Frog Recruitment. The first two nominees for the most valuable contractor for the quarter is Joseph Abey and Tyrone Buckingham. Both of them have been recommended both for working at Striker at the moment. The reasons for their recommendations are they both set a very high standard for the other temps that are working within the Strikers distribution center and kit room. And they both very much uphold the values and standards of Striker. And the managers who did vote for them couldn't be any happier with their contribution and see them as very valued members of the team.
Esha: Hello, my name is Esha and I work in the Temporary and Contract Services team here at Frog Recruitment in Auckland. The next nominee for the Quarter 1 MVC is Jayshree. She is from New Zealand Health Group and she was nominated because she has truly excelled in all of her roles that she's had there at the Health Group. She's consistently demonstrating an impressive amount of attention to detail that sets her apart from a lot of her peers and has recently transitioned into more of an HR focused role in which she's able to seamlessly adapt into new responsibilities and challenges. She's also maintained an unwavering dedication to her work up until the last moment two days ago when she took maternity leave and gave birth to her beautiful little son. So her amazing performance and work ethic just show how truly remarkable she is and super excited to give her this nomination.
Kirsty Henegan: Before we announce the winner, let's take one final look at the three nominees for quarter one of 2024 for our MVCs. We've got Tyrone, Joseph, and Jai. And our MVC winner for quarter one of 2024 is Tyrone Buckingham over at New Zealand Striker. So let's be joined now by Tyrone's Frog Recruitment Consultant, Scott, to tell us a little bit more about Tyrone.
Kirsty Henegan: Hi, Scott. Thanks for joining us to accept Tyrone's award.
Scott: Cool. Thank you very much for having me.
Kirsty Henegan: So do you want to tell us a little bit about Tyrone working at Striker and why he's been nominated?
Scott: So Tyrone has been at Striker now coming up to two years. So his manager who actually put him forward for the role said he's like a part of the furniture now. He's one of the trust attempts there. So if there's overtime work and the permanent staff can't do it, they'll ask Tyrone before they go to anyone else. He's even been on call for them over like the Christmas now periods and stuff like that. The whole reason for the nomination was he's a trusted candidate. The value he brings to the actual business that he's been there for is just second to none, basically.
Kirsty Henegan: That's what we like to hear. Good on him. Good on Tyrone. Well done, Tyrone. And you win. He'll be pleased, I'm sure. He'll love it. So if anyone wants to get in contact with you, they're looking for a temp role or they're looking to bring a temp contract person in, what's the best way?
Scott: The best way is via email or just ring into the office. Ideally, what they will do is they'll apply for a role that we've got up, but failing that, ring into the office or send me an email.
Kirsty Henegan: Perfect. Thank you so much, Scott.
Scott: Cool. Thank you very much.
Kirsty Henegan: If you're watching today and perhaps you're looking for your next opportunity in the temporary or contracting space or you're looking to fill a vacancy within your team, our Frog Recruitment team are here to help. Our team will be sending out a bit of information around the MVC for the next quarter. So if you would like to nominate someone who's working within your workforce, that information will be sent directly to you. And thank you so much for joining us. And we will see you next time for quarter two's MVC.
